The Anglosphere, more precisely the USA and UK, have lost the plot. The EU is just lost.
Here is a short summary of the insanity of the Anglosphere:
The UK's Bank of England impounded the gold of Venezuela because the USA claimed that Guaido was "interim president" when he had never stood for election in that role. Given that the Venezuelan opposition has now tossed this figurehead the Bank of England is in a bit of a fix, though still holding over a billion USD of Venezuelan gold.
The USA had Alex Saab, an appointed diplomat of Venezuela, arrested on route to Iran via Cape Verde. He was imprisoned. Via his lawyer his possessions were given over to his representative which showed that letters from the president and vice-president of Venezuela written to their Iranian counterparts had not only been opened but copied. This emerged during the current flimsy trial for money laundering in the State of Florida. There was no extradition treaty between Cape Verde and the USA at the time when Saab was delivered to the USA. Saab was the appointed representative, diplomat, of the Venezuelan government providing the conduit of negotiation symbolizing the solidarity of the two nations. The USA was angry because he was "sanctions busting". The Venezuelan people were happy because they were receiving food.
The USA confiscated, stole, the assets of Citgo, the Venezuelan owned fuel company. This is a theft of tens of billions of USD.
The USA and the EU stole over 100 billion USD of Russian foreign reserves.
The USA stole 7 billion USD of Afghan reserves.
The USA orchestrated a coup in Ukraine in 2014 and has since been arming and training a military with Nazi fascists who have been attacking their own citizens in the Donbas.
The boondoggle of the invasion of Afghanistan ended in the "Saigon moment" of their hasty retreat. They left Bagram airforce base filled with equipment for the Taliban to use.
Russia has just facilitated a peace between Syria and Turkiye leaving the USA's Operation Timber Sycamore effort to fund, train and arm extremist, and largely foreign, Muslim insurgents in tatters.
Herman and Chomsky's book, Manufacturing Consent, has become a prelude. The USA's intelligence agencies now actually run the government and media directly. The Twitter Files revelations demonstrate the insanity generated entirely by Clinton campaign operatives to construct the Russiagate "conspiracy theory". I use that term in the sense of the CIA who created it at the time of the Warren Commission into the assassination of president John F. Kennedy. Meanwhile the revelations display more conspiracies, as opposed to theories, than one could poke a stick at.
The over one hundred billion USD which are being delivered to the USA military industrial complex is being used by Ukraine to drop landmines, "petal mines", on the city of Donetsk. Ukrainian forces are executing Russia soldiers. Monks and nuns are being shelled with USA/NATO ammunition. Meanwhile the newly created Ukrainian Orthodox Church is singing the praises of its fascist government in front of a statue of Stefan Bandera who orchestrated the killing of many tens of thousands of Poles, Russians, Jews, Communists, and Homosexuals, i.e People.
The USA held its "Summit of the Americas" and because they refused to invite numerous countries including Cuba and Venezuela a nation as significant as USA neighbour Mexico refused to send its president.
Washington D.C's police force broke down the door to enter the Venezuelan Embassy in the capital city after having turned off power and water despite the utility bills having been paid.
The USA formed a military alliance with the UK and Australia to push out the French supply of diesel electric submarines to Australia and replace them with nuclear powered submarines, which violates the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty
Both Japan and Germany are hugely expanding their military budgets, which the USA is happy about because their military industrial complex will profit from it. This has never been a problem.
Oliver North of Iran-Contra infamy confirmed statements by Lindsey Graham that the USA is fighting Russia to the last Ukrainian. The North quote was "American bullets and Ukrainian blood". Nothing could be better for the War Industry. The political consequences are rising.
A publisher of entirely accurate information suffers in jail on remand with no local case against him. The USA's lawfare shows its illegitimate and global reach, just as in the case with Alex Saab.
The USA exposed an equivalent Angela Merkel hypocrisy by Pelosi, leader of the lower house, visiting Taiwan. Hilariously, the Kuomintang won the next election defeating the Taiwanese leader who Pelosi had visited. The USA "One China" policy is an equivalent lie to the Minsk Accords.
The lawfare conducted against Lula de Silva in concert with the USA was exposed as unfounded with the Brazilian Supreme Court denying all charges and expunging the record. Lula has just begun his third term as the president of Brazil.
Anthony Blinkenlight's visit to Africa illuminated the very limited tolerance which Africa leaders have for the current USA top diplomat. A few days later, Russia's top diplomat, Lavrov, was welcomed with open arms.
Near the beginning of Blinkenlights' tenure a meeting in Alaska with a Chinese delegation saw the USA's coterie of diplomats have the door slammed in their face. Stop it with these demands. Behave with respect and in accordance with your station as a diplomat or we'll just walk out the door.
A sitting USA president, Trump, had his account at a USA social media corporation, Twitter, disabled.
Despite advice from the USA banking sector, known as the Federal Reserve, the USA with the EU removed Russia from their inter-bank messaging service, SWIFT. The response is that both Russia and China have established their own independent systems. To add insult to injury Visa and Mastercard left the Russian market allowing Mir to rise as the dominant Russian owned credit card. Its payment systems now extend to Turkiye and Venezuela along with most of central Asia and China. This is small fry compared to the national currency clearing house which Michael Hudson predicts the Chinese and Russians will establish to facilitate non-USD national currency based international trade.
Chinese president Xi visited Saudi Arabia to cement international oil trade between their nations. This occurred a few months after USA's president Biden visited Saudi to request an increase in oil production to lower global oil prices. The Saudi and OPEC+ response was Nah: they reduced production.
The UK had 3 Prime Ministers in about 3 months and nobody can remember who the woman was between the clown Boris and the current clown Sunak.
Sorry for all of that. I feel a little like a barrister bring forth witness after witness to demonstrate to the court a body of evidence.
My case is that the Anglosphere have lost their minds. How much consistent failure of both policy and principle is required to prove their insanity? What more destruction is required?
Invading diplomatic premises, arresting diplomats, raw piracy, arming and funding religious zealots and Nazis, attacking your declared allies, allowing your political institutions to be controlled by military “intelligence” and armaments institutions to then run around the world wreaking havoc.
The Anglosphere have not let slip the dogs of war, they are them.
