A Week Long Drone Fight Which Russia Is Winning
Over the last seven days the Ukrainian military has launched over one thousand drones against targets in Russia. Most of these were shot down by Russian air defenses. There are no reports of any serious damage.
The biggest effect the week long drone attacks achieved was to shut down air traffic in Moscow for several hours.
After waiting a few days the Russian military responded in kind.
Disrespecting One’s Office
US President Trump continues to mislead US citizens while spewing hostile rhetoric.
On Sunday night (2025-05-25) he issued:
“I’ve always had a very good relationship with Vladimir Putin of Russia, but something has happened to him. He has gone absolutely CRAZY!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Trump was referring to a large drone attack by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on military targets in Ukraine. The missing context was that on the preceeding Tuesday [2025-05-20] Russian President Vladimir Putin's helicopter transport was attacked by Ukrainian drones while on route to visit the Kursk oblast:
Russian President Vladimir Putin’s helicopter was caught in a swarm of Ukrainian drones while he was visiting Russia’s Kursk Oblast on May 20, according to a Russian military commander.
“We were simultaneously engaged in an air defense battle and ensuring airspace security for the president’s helicopter flight,” said Yury Dashkin, the head of Russia’s air defense division.
“The helicopter was effectively at the epicenter of the response to the massive drone attack,” Dashkin added.

The attack on Putin's flight was part of an extended drone campaign by Ukraine:
According to RT, Russian forces intercepted 764 drones over Russia from Tuesday to Friday.

Putin is responding to serious attacks on Russia which are facilitated by the US.
The crazy President is the one who is still arming Ukraine in a losing war rather than instantly withdrawn from it, as he pledged in his election campaign.
The US has spent at least $1.5 billion on helping Ukraine develop and expand its drone manufacturing program, an effort that was backed by the CIA.

Ukraine has already attacked the Kremlin with drones. Russia has the capability to assassinate expired Ukrainian President, now Dictator Zelensky, via multiple methods (Iskander, Oreshnik etc.). It has refrained.
Trump is, once again, full of shit. He does not control his mouth and treat the office which he holds with the seriousness it deserves.
