Geopolitcs and the Upcoming US Presidential Campaign
Michael Bremmer publishes fairly rarely. He writes beautifully, is not interested in bushes to dance around, but gets straight to his points. His most recent article is probably the best I've read on recent geopolitical shifts in the last few months. It, of course, covers a far wider period.
Another of my favourite writers, Patrick Lawrence, has also just published an article, also at Consortium News, on the upcoming USA presidential (s)election. Lawrence spits from his mouth the bitter after taste of influence evidenced in the last two presidential elections and already on display for the upcoming. No, it not Russia or Cuba or North Korea, its the DNC and variuos deep state players pulling strings, side stepping laws and declaring the whole thing a sham in the process.

Russel Piner’s bugling is wonderful. I love how he so gently allows the vibrations in the bugle to continue to ring as he steps into a pause. He plays with the tenderness the piece demands.
On Ukraine
In his short “blog” piece, Martyanov considers the use and utility of the Storm Shadow air launched missiles which are delivered by upgraded Mig-29’s provided to Ukraine by Poland using an Israeli military refitter to upgrade the MiGs to fire the NATO (UK+France) weapons. It seems likely that the recent refits have been performed by Elbit, the Israeli defense contractor which Palestinian supporters including Craig Murray are protesting in Leicestershire.
The summary of Martyanov’s post is that Russia’s air defense systems have intercepted at least some of these missiles and that Ukraine is attacking civilian targets in areas not covered by Russian air defense. To do this Ukraine utilizes NATO (read USA) supplied ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnisance) data to reveal the holes in the defence coverage.
Hyper-summery: nothing new here.
B. from MoonOfAlabam and Larry Johnson have also being providing updates including Patriot missiles quite unsurprisingly being unable to defend themself against hypersonic missiles and Ukraine losing around 500 million USD in ammunition as Russia targeted a depot collection in western Ukraine.
