A norm destroying conspiracy of international terror

Introduction

In "US Joins Israel's Illegal War against Iran" this newsletter asserted that:

The attack by the US buries the international system it built with the victors of WWII framed around the United Nations.

This article argues a justification for that assertion.

The UN System

The system of international relations, built by the victors after the second near globe spanning war within a generation, had at its core a financial system agreed at the Bretton Woods conference and an international political system built on the United Nations Charter and its core institutions including the International Court of Justice and U.N. Security Council (UNSC).

The primary goal of the United Nations is to maintain international peace; to prevent war. To join the United Nations a nation must commit to the UN Charter which includes a commitment to not attack another nation except as approved by and within the limits of a UNSC resolution.

Nuclear Technology

The US demonstrated a military implementation of nuclear technology at the end of WWII when it attacked Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The USSR and other European nations rapidly developed nuclear weapons after WWII. The Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) is the primary agreed international mechanism to facilitate nations developing non-military nuclear technology, including non-fossil fuel based power (nuclear energy) and medicine (for the treatment of cancer and other illnesses).

The NPT is the most successful nuclear arms limitation treaty, ever. Less than a handfull of nations have either never joined or have withdrawn. They are India, Pakistan, South Sudan (a nation born in 2011 which is in a state of civil war), North Korea (withdrew), and Israel.

8 states have confirmed that they possess nuclear weapons [US, Britain, France, China, Russia, Pakistan, India and North Korea].

There are 9 nuclear armed states known to the world. The single, known to be nuclear armed state, which chooses not to acknowledge it, is Israel. This was revealed to the world by Israeli whistleblower Mordechai Vanunu.

The US and Israel's desire for the US to arm Israel is the primary motivation for the ruse over Israel’s nuclear status. The US can only export weapons to states signatory to the NPT. Israel signing the NPT would require it to reveal its nuclear capacity through receiving inspections. With US support, Israel conceals the scope of its nuclear capability while threatening nations within range of its nuclear capable missiles.

This approved, threatening subterfuge has been understood by all political leaders in the US and Israel for decades.

Nuclear Energy

The Islamic Republic of Iran, along with other nations in the region which possess large quantities of fossil fuels, like the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, wish to develop nuclear power as an alternative to fossil fuel for multiple reasons. This would diversify their energy supply, begin their transition to reduce fossil fuel consumption and thus extend their export income from selling their fossil fuels.

Iran has followed the internationally approved pathway for establishing nuclear technologies, including energy. It signed the NPT and has complied with international inspections and monitoring.

The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) treaty signed between UNSC veto carrying members Russia, China, US, UK, France and Iran with other parties was a "deal" for Iran to develop its non-military nuclear technologies and for it to receive relief from Western attacks on its international trade (sanctions). The JCPOA failed because the US did not comply with its obligations (sanctions relief). US President Trump withdrew the US from the JCPOA in his first term.

Abusing UN Institutions for Geopolitical Purposes

Iran remains an NPT member state, allowing inspections. It has recently learned that the UN inspecting body, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), has been supplying details of its nuclear program, including doxing its scientists, to Israel. Iran has learned that Israel has been using this information to assassinate Iran's nuclear scientists.

The U.N. supervisory body for the peaceful development nuclear technology was subverted by Israel for its political purposes. Due to the very close relationship between Israel's foreign intelligence (and covert action) organisation Mossad and the US equivalent (the CIA) it is widely understood that the US knew of this process. The same ruse of clandestine approval used by the US and Israel for Israel's nuclear arms has also been used by them to subvert the IAEA for Israel's assassination program.

This is not new.

A similar approach was used by at least the US to subvert the U.N. body for the prohibition of the use of chemical weapons, the OPCW, to falsely assert that the Syrian government was using chemical weapons during the Syrian Dirty War. The purpose of that war was to overthrow the Syrian government. It was launched by the CIA (and other covert operative agencies including Britain's MI6 and Mossad).

Genocide

While Israel has been running a "hot", live streamed genocide in Occupied Palestine since 2023-10-08 the US has used its UNSC veto on at least 4 occasions against international calls for a ceasefire. At the same time, the US and allies Britain and Germany, have been arming Israel, providing it with data to target its genocide, or both.

The U.N. convention against genocide is its oldest human rights treaty, created to guard against the horrors of systemic racial murder by the German government during WWII.

The "never again" international convention against genocide has been signed and ratified by approximately 150 states including Israel and the US.

Genocide and War

While executing a genocide against Palestinians, Israel has attacked, invaded and annexed parts of Lebanon and Syria. The US has not used its military, financial and political influence over Israel to curtail any of these actions of genocide, war, invasion or annexation. It has not engaged the U.N. in any meaningful way to uphold its obligations, or Israel's, under the U.N. Charter, but instead, as noted, used its veto to facilitate the continuance of that genocide.

The narrative issued by both aggressive states is that Iran could develop nuclear weapons. So could Japan, or South Korea. Iran, like these other two example states, is known to not be working on a nuclear weapon. Not only that, Iran is an NPT signatory which has been complying with an inspection program.

Israel is not only not an NPT signatory, it is known to possess nuclear weapons.

Two conspiring nuclear armed states are attempting to overthrow the government of a non-nuclear armed, NPT signatory state in contravention of the founding principle of the United Nations while both are also involved in annexing Lebanon and Syria and running a genocide in Palestine.

When has there been a more flagrant and consistent violantion of the U.N. international system than that displayed by the United States of America and Israel during these 8 days?

Unprovoked war, invasion, annexation and genocide

Tell me, how does the behaviour of the governments of United States of America and Israel differ from the behaviour of the governments of Germany and Japan during World War II?

Unprovoked war, invasion, annexation and genocide.

One can only conclude that the United States of America and Israel have buried the U.N. system. There is no principle within it to which they will adhere.
