Collaboration xor Competition?

For generated reasons, discussions are corralled into binaries.

Do athletes compete? Hell yeah. What about scientists? Yep.

What about collaboration between athletes? Yes, that too. Scientists? All the damn time.

Governments? Yes, both.

Churches? Well, they’ll try to not “message” their competition, but they also collaborate.

Charities? They avoid competition, and do collaborate.

Businesses? Largely competition, but some collaboration to advance their competition. There is an advanced form of competition and collaboration called market segmentation, which is a modern form of monopoly.

Can you spot an outlier [inclusive] or a better general trajectory?

Prophets have been imploring us to employ one of our greatest capacity, compassion, to find a peace. A recent prophet composed a song about it.
