I have just made one update, adding a new and relevant source to an article, and made a correction to another.
Notification Mechanism
I have adopted the tactic to add [updated] or [correction] as a suffix to the sub-title of the article as a way of indicating the change. Should an article receive both, expect both ‘tags’. If multiple of either are required, I will add the date of the most recent update or correction. I hope this will not be required, but having been required to make a correction, I am trying to define how that can be effectively transmitted to the readership.
In all cases, the update or correction will be posted at the bottom of the article, and if its a correction will be dated.
Oh, damn. That means I shall now need to date the original publication date of all articles, henceforth, as what you see is the “late modified” date. Ho hum. Welcome to learning about publishing.
The Update
The update was on the article about Daniel Hale. Its an interview with John Kiriakou and Kevin Gosztola on the Scott Horton show, and provides important background and new material on the trail, and particularly the sentencing.
The Correction
The correction is for the article about Danny Sjursen. See the end of the article for an explanation of the removal of a single sentence. Suffice to say that I am happy to throw my wild opinions around, but not when I know them to imply a falsehood.
