Introduction
If one is concerned about nuclear weapons or nuclear proliferation in west Asia that concern would be solely focused on nuclear armed Israel. It stole from the US the concentrated nuclear materials for its initial weapons.
It has been running a hot genocide against Palestinians for 20 months, murdering women and children every day. It is running wars in Palestine, Lebanon and Syria.
It just started another hot war, with Iran.
It has been bombing Iran's civilian nuclear facilities risking environmental contamination. By doing so it is asking Iran to attack its nuclear reactor at Dimona. Israel knew Iran had missile strike capability which it could not defend against, as Iran had twice demonstrated its capacity during True Promise I & II. Israel has placed its own population at risk by beginning its illegal war on Iran.
The leaders of Israel are lawless. They are culturally trained against empathy. They murder, lie and manipulate according to their own ethno-supremacist designs.
Iran has no nuclear weapons. Israel does.
Israel poses the largest security and stability risk to the region.
Israel is currently proving this to the world.
Day 6
The US military is repositioning some of its assets. Some, like refueling aircraft, essential to sustain Israel's unprovoked, surprise, illegal war on Iran, are being moved to the region as mentioned yesterday. Others, at US foreign military bases in the region, are being withdrawn or repositioned for "force protection". This is to secure them against damage or destruction by Iranian retaliation if the US escalates its support for Israel by employing direct offensive assets like missiles fired by its own pilots or ship captains.
The US and its partners, particularly the UK, are already engaged in the illegal war via providing financial support, military and foreign intelligence, offensive weaponry, missile defense and airborne refueling (logistics).
The US media is re-acting the script it which led up to the 2003 illegal invasion of Iraq, eloquently wrote Chris Hedges. The same fear mongering liars are being wheeled out in front of the US military industrial complex funded media system. While the US President is keeping everyone guessing with "maybe, maybe not", history informs us that when the US media ecosystem has reached the saturation level of lies being currently displayed, the decision has been made.
Soroka Medical Center & Gav-Yam Negev Tech Park
An example of the standard techniques of misrepresentation and omission employed by the Western media can been seen in reporting on the results of one of Iran's retaliatory attacks to deter Israel from continuing its illegal war.
Russia's state news agency reported, citing Iran's state new agency:
The Israeli army’s C4I cyber command headquarters and the military intelligence center in the Gav-Yam hi-tech park were targeted by Iranian missile strikes on Thursday morning, IRNA reported.
According to the news agency, thousands of servicemen responsible for intelligence data processing and cyber operations were stationed there.
The Gav-Yam intelligence center is situated near Soroka hospital in southern Israel’s Beersheba which suffered no serious damage as it was exposed to a blast wave, while the military infrastructure was hit in a precision strike, the news agency said.

The level of damage could be assessed by individuals were it not for Israel banning citizens from publishing imagery of damage in Israel. We are thus forced to rely on selected imagery from news agencies for the purpose. We'll get back to that.
To start with, one would wish to verify that the Soroka Medical Center and Gav-Yam Tech Park are located near one another, and that the Tech Park has been reported to host Israeli military intelligence/cyber command. Finding the medical facility is easy. Finding the tech park has been partially blocked.

Graduate Student housing of the tech park/Ben Gurion University is adjacent to the medical facility. That the tech park housed military intelligence/cyber command is verifiable from independent sources beyond Mapcarta, including the tech park's own website [archived].
With co-location established, the next question is what damage was done and constructing plausible explanations for it.
Blast damage
Reuters' article on the damage displays external blast damage in on section. Given the proximity of Iran's stated target, this makes sense. To verify it one would wish to known more about the munition used and where it actually struck to calculate the energy of the blast wave at the radial distance. This information is unavailable.

Another image from Associated Press shows a section of the top corner of a building destroyed and limited fires starved of oxygen on the upper floor.

Structural engineers, given the buildings’ designs, would be able to calculate damage based on known munitions and simulate those with models to verify probable causes and eliminate false hypotheses. This type of analysis was performed by graduate students of the University of Alaska under Prof. Hulsey to model damage to World Trade Center Building 7. They simulated its destruction in New York City on September 11th 2001. Their intricate model disproved the claimed explanation of "fire" being the cause of the destruction. That this was almost certainly the case was earlier derived by David Chandler using simpler analysis (freefall).
For reports on the Soroka medical facility, media (like Reuters or Euronews) have re-issued claims by Israeli officials which serve a narrative of deliberate Iranian damage. Iran's military command are competent and disciplined. Targeting a hospital would be counter-productive for them.
The damage which can be seen from imagery does not support a "direct hit" hypothesis, as the damage is external. Sensible explanations include a section of an Iranian missile, damaged by Israeli missile defense, impacting the hospital. Another is that Israel damaged the hospital as a component of its media campaign. Another is a combination of the two.
Recall the Israeli "Hannibal Directive" wherein it chooses to murder its own citizens rather than have them captured alive by their political enemies. Credible reports based on witness testimony that this doctrine was active on 2023-10-07 have been published. Since that day, Israel has destroyed the entire health sector in Gaza. Israel has been destroying hospitals for over a year and a half. These two data points serve to re-enforce the credibility of the scenarios presented above which are not considered by western media.
Media reports from Israel are controlled. No imagery of the "cyber command" headquarters is provided, showing damage or not. It is graphically absent. Its textual mention in Western reports is cursory.
As Hedges reminded us, war is always justified with emotional manipulation and lies.
We, in the West, are the targets of these propaganda narratives.
In more positive news, negotiations between representatives of the US and Iran to end the conflict have been occurring, behind the scenes.

In this sweeping order, any reporting on impact sites near military facilities—including drone footage of strike zones or precise addresses of hits close to security installations—is explicitly deemed criminal.
At the same time, the directive outlaws any mention of interceptor launches or footage of missile impacts, extending its reach even to social media posts unless prior state approval is granted.
Enforcement of these restrictions has been nothing short of draconian.
On June 19, police in Haifa descended on foreign news crews documenting strikes on the city’s oil refinery and power grid, confiscating cameras, memory cards, and other equipment.
Officers were instructed to move “against news agencies utilized by Al Jazeera,” a network already banned in Israel since 2024.
Far more chilling is what lies hidden beneath this veil of censorship. In the basement morgues of Israeli military hospitals, wards reportedly overflow with casualties kept far from public view.
Fars News cited Iranian security sources as saying scores of soldiers wounded in Iran’s missile strikes are packed into subterranean corridors, their identities and injuries classified as “state secrets.”
Even Western media outlets with a well-documented pro-Israel bias have found themselves similarly constrained.
The BBC publicly acknowledged being barred from covering the devastation at the Weizmann Research Institute—a site linked to military and intelligence operations that now lies in ruins.
As Egyptian analyst Bashir Abdelfatah observes, “Rocket strikes have created Gaza-like scenes in Israel. We are seeing secrecy and censorship over casualties exceeding 1,000.”
In censoring the very evidence of failure, the state ensures that reality itself becomes a casualty of this clandestine campaign. .."

Additionally, Iranian analysts have noted that the regime releases footage portraying strikes on decoy launchers as if they were genuine targets.
This state-backed spin machine extends well beyond tactical video edits.
During critical phases of the Israeli-imposed war on Iran, the X platform, formerly known as Twitter, restricted the account of former Iranian foreign minister Javad Zarif. He had written a post calling the Israeli regime’s Premier Netanyahu a "genocidal coward" and that while Iran did not begin the war, it will certainly "decide how it ends." Zarif himself demanded to know why his verification check mark was removed, why his tweets had been shadow-banned, and insisted that “the world needs to know all the facts.”
On the parallel front, Meta reportedly processed some ninety thousand Israeli takedown requests in just twenty-four hours, purging anti-Israel content while algorithmically boosting official Israeli military posts. .....
......Additionally, Israeli firms such as Percepto International have deployed AI bots that masquerade as concerned citizens, all in a bid to sway Western public opinion and preempt awkward questions about the very real human cost of these conflicts.
Amid its sweeping censorship and disinformation campaign, Israel has also resorted to the deliberate fabrication of battlefield “victories” through carefully orchestrated media leaks.
Major international outlets such as Reuters, Axios, and The Wall Street Journal have been fed exclusive briefings by pro-Israel reporters, including former Unit 8200 officers working from within newsroom ranks. "

The Telegraph even headlines by saying the center has "saved thousands of lives"......yet no mentioned that this center is central to developing technology and analysis, and software and squipment, for the high tech AI-powered genocidal wars that israel is conducting in Gaza and Lebanon and Yemen - and now on the Iranians too!
