This is straight up paid manipulation by AIPAC for US foreign policy at the behest of their donors. It’s called buying policy.

I’ve always wanted to hand this out as a history assignment. The class gets these three video productions, and the assignment is a 1000 word essay to argue for one of either of:
a) The incident was a case of mistaken identity. Explain why all of these sailors cannot agree with this interpretation; xor
b) The incident was a direct, authorized attack to sink the USS Liberty as an attempt to goad the US into attacking Egypt on Israel’s behalf. Explain why the US political leadership demanded that the attack was never acknowledged as an attack?
Every answer must include at least one source outside of the three provided.

The Pope's response to "an appeal to the Pope that was signed by about 400 rabbis and scholars, calling for the strengthening of Jewish-Christian friendship after the tragedy of October 7" was a neutral:
My heart is close to you, to the Holy Land, to all the peoples who inhabit it, Israelis and Palestinians, and I pray that the desire for peace may prevail in all. I want you to know that you are close to my heart and to the heart of the Church.
The Pope's response is not the point. I suggest that the 400 rabbis and scholars 'calling for the strengthening of Jewish-Christian friendship', instead of trying to drag the Pope into one side of this conflict, would perhaps be better served by protesting their fellow Jews killing children. Perhaps they could show some leadership and stand in the way of the IDF, demonstrating morality to the Jewish students at the Rafah crossing who are standing in the way of aid trucks for Gaza (while the IDF sits idly by).
His Holiness did make an insightful observation:
that the Holy Land is unfortunately not excluded from the turmoil that grips the world and which constitutes a true "piecemeal world war,” which is causing widespread "apprehension and pain."

My take is that the OKC bombing is an important event in US history. Somebody who knew about the patsy used them as cover to destroy something in the building. The building damage indicates internal explosives, not a truck bomb. The significance is that this is a pre-9/11 terror event which was coordinated by people who had the intelligence about the patsy and had access to the building. It may even be that there was nothing terribly important to destroy, and that the whole point was to see if they could get away with this, a test of terror and media control.
This foreshadows the far more complex scheme on 9/11 where the airplane highjackers are allowed to continue to foment their plot, and all four buildings are internally wired for explosion. The plot is even more complex with Operation whatever-it-was-called which injected the fake highjackings onto the air traffic controllers systems, and agents being used early in the news footage to provide the 'airplane collision destroyed building' rubbish.
