Having achieved so much, sold so many weapons, coordinated a Europe-wide economic and political campaign to get Ukrainians to kill Russians on the US' behalf, one is puzzled as to why a woman who "has personified President Biden’s commitment to put diplomacy back at the center of our foreign policy" would resign.
Did she jump or was she pushed?
Who cares.
The answer, of course, is both. Having been 'acting' Deputy Secretary of State, Nuland-ski had reasonable expectation to be awarded the permanent role. This was not forthcoming which leads to a career dead end. On top of that, her fantastic efforts promoting arms sales and corralling the Europeans into a unified, economically and politically suicidal foreign policy via influence through NATO and the EU Commission have reached a natural end. The war is lost and so is European national political leadership.
Mercouris read the diplomatic press release between its one line: she was pushed. Essentially, her area of specialty, wrecking Europe to 'weaken Russia' is done for now. There are bigger fish to fry. The weapons profits are far larger because the previously announced, new enemy is so much bigger: China.
McGovern connects a few dots to identify a potential source of Nuland's ouster: the DoD [US Dept. of Defence]. He cites a strange 'on the street' Nuland statement in Kiev in late January about 'surprises' for Russia which was later repeated in her CSIS speech. The recording of the planning by Luftwaffe general staff to use Tauras missiles to blow up ammunition depots on Russian soil or destroy the Kerch Straight Bridge was recorded in mid-February. It was revealed on March 3rd and the announcement of Nuland's resignation occurred two days later. Perhaps DoD’s Chiefs of Staff don't like some State Dept. underling going behind their backs and coordinating offensive plans with foreign NATO generals?
With Nuland sidelined, things can return to the plan laid out in their National Strategy.
National Strategy
[The Philippines want to create a military target on one of their pretty little islands.]
Straight off the bat the US' military contractors are into port construction. No, not the one to later serve as a marina for Zionist settlers in Gaza, the one to be built on one of a small collection of beautiful little islands 120 Km from Taiwan. The purported reason is to "evacuate Filipinos who work in Taiwan in the event a war breaks out on the island". It is obvious that the Army can't get involved in eastern Europe due to logistical and political impossibilities, so the Navy is taking over in the eastern Pacific northeastern Indo-Pacific.
To borrow a leaf from Bernard from Moon Of Alabama's book, I am going to make a wild prediction before the war even gets started. The US will lose, because:
it cannot win (330 million vs 1 300 million population and a 8 000 Km long, vulnerable logistics chain)
it does not intend to win, but to
make money from weapons sales and other MIC contractor tax theft
vaingloriously project its vanishing power
ignore the suffering they are attempting to create for the Taiwanese
Actually, the whole project is busted.
Taiwan will need to have within its population a bunch of rapid extremists who both can utilize whatever weaponry Taiwan possesses, and want to fight China. Hopefully, east Asian culture and philosophy will guard against this rabid extremism. The Taiwanese could also easily learn from recent history by examining the last two major wars fomented by the US. The Taiwanese could understand what will happen to them, by examining the consequences for Syria and Ukraine, if they are so stupid as to allow some small group to railroad them onto this suicidal path of succumbing to US war narratives.
My updated outageous prediction is that there will be no war. There will be various projects of tax theft for the US MIC and its contractors, and lots of huffing and puffing from the new, unified coterie of warhawks at the State Dept.
Undermining Columbia University
Apparently, Nulandski is off to join fellow warmonger Billary at Columbia University. Why would Columbia do this to itself? Surely one of them is bad enough?
But, Jabba does have the chops. Blinkenlights himself acknowledged her "unmatched capacity to wield the full toolkit of American diplomacy to advance our interests and values". So, classes full of potential warmongers can learn how to kill half a million people to achieve these advances. Or, they could take a class with Billary and hear her war stories of "We came, we saw, he died". These women have experience in the diplomatic dugouts of the geopolitical trenches.
The problem is that Billary's students have already identified that she can't even spell deeplomacy. Jabba's may even read articles by some of the US' most capable ex-diplomats and so understand that they will learn nothing of the art from her either.
