Before moving on to Gaza and Cuba, a recent interview warrants attention for multiple important reasons.

Professors Lottaz and Diesen spend the first part of this touching and confronting discussion addressing the recent Russian response to the latest round of provocations from European states in the US/NATO war versus Russia, begun in Ukraine. An extension of the four year old war is now being run outside of Ukraine, with drones being launched into Russia from the Baltic Sea and/or over the “Baltic” states of Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia or Finland. Those drones are being assembled in Germany, Italy and other European states.
In the middle of the discussion the two visit why Diesen began publishing his video interview channel about a year ago.
Diesen understands that humans can be rational and that we can also subvert our acknowledgement of reality to conform to social structures. We can be rational. We are also social apes.
Diesen warns that the current, irrational path of European, political rhetoric will lead to more tragedy, a wider European war with nuclear super-power Russia. This is not hyperbole. These are the words of current European political leaders. They are planning Europe’s economic future based on an armaments industry with a declared purpose of fighting Russia. Russia must respond.
Significant Russian voices, such as Karaganov, are gaining popularity demanding that Russia expand the geography of the war. Russia’s citizenry cites Iran’s success against the US by destroying its bases in the Gulf monarchies. Why, in response to European escalations, is Russia confining its military responses to Ukraine when Iran’s success against the US can be seen to be based on targeting all participating regional states?
The constantly escalating provocations of Russia, of which the recent shift to drone attacks via the Baltic are an example, will eventually produce a wider European war, unless Europe stops constructing this collective tragedy.
As Diesen explains in the interview, his channel of published interviews is his honest attempt to help correct this tragic course by inserting rational discussion into a political field dominated by moral binaries and a cancel culture for unapproved, rational voices.

Shin Bet’s purpose is to enforce an apartheid in partnership with the Israeli military. The internal security service of the apartheid state is every bit as brutal as one would expect:
The Shin Bet oversees Israel’s extensively documented torture programme – one that relies on systematic rape and sexual abuse of Palestinian prisoners, including by specially trained dogs.
Young children are routinely abused in this system: grabbed from their homes in the middle of the night, beaten by soldiers, and locked up for months or years by military courts that have a near 100 per cent conviction rate.

Israel’s “dirty work” is the provision of a human laboratory, shielded from law, domestic or international. Israel provides international corporations human subjects and a human society on which tests can be run without any moral or legal restriction. Israel lowers the risk of being punished for experimenting on humanity.
Israel has transformed the Palestinian territories into its own laboratories, where – via the Shin Bet and Israeli military – corporations can test out new forms of surveillance, crowd control, imprisonment strategies, warfare, weapons development, and Artificial Intelligence programmes.
Israel helps the corporations analyse the ability of humans to endure or resist these various forms of oppression, and as a consequence make adjustments and refinements.
And finally, Israel helps the corporations by testing, through its criminal endeavours, ways to improve public relations and media strategies that obscure the horrifying reality, as well as schemes for eroding international legal norms and constraints.

In 2025, U.N. Rapporteur Francesca Albanese documented some of Israeli’s international business clientele. For that, the US subjected her to “sanctions”, otherwise known as ‘economic coercive measures’.

Rape, Assault & Abuse Reflect Israeli Government Values; Ann Wright; Consortium News; 2026-05-26
Ann Wright used concise language in her article to describe the testimonies of participants in the second Sumud Flotilla, who attempted to delivery food and medical supplies to Gaza, Palestine.
... each of the 428 unarmed civilians from 45 countries who were on 50 small sailboats, [were] kidnapped in international waters and taken against their will to a place they did not want to go — Israel — and then subjected to criminal abuse from personnel from a multitude of Israeli security institutions.

The dehumanising treatment they received from multiple Israeli “security” institutions matched that admitted by the former heads of Shin Bet in Cook’s article. The same dehumanizing abuse was issued across multiple Israeli “security” institutions. The Israeli “security” services are an example of the “service” Israel provides to its clientele.
Wright calmly noted the hypocrisy of European states like France who condemned this treatment of European persons but quietly support the same abuse of the people of Occupied Palestine. Cook’s article on the institutional structure of power is a guide to understanding this constant hypocrisy.
