An Axis
The MSM would class two of my favourite information sources as an opinion writer or "blogger". These two publish well referenced articles on current events, as opposed to authors from the MSM who publish extremely poorly referenced articles on current events sucked from the fire hose of the main three English language wire services Thomson Reuters (Reuters), Associated Press (AP) and Agence France-Presse (AFP).
Just as "b." from MoonOfAlabama was about to publish his article on the rebirth of the "Axis of Evil" theme, complete with extensive references, he noticed that Caitlin Johnston had authored an article on the same topic. Not a near topic, exactly the same. He references her in a "dammit" moment, not with annoyance, but as an acknowledgment. Naturally, he provided a link to her article.
I believe both of these journalists are old enough to have been adults during the period which lead to the USA and "coalition of the willing" illegal invasion of Iraq in 2003. They remember the propaganda and they know, as we all do, that it was all a lie. They both saw the same phrase being issued close to the 20th anniversary of that war crime. They were both driven to write.
There are lovely moments of synchronicity in life. This is one. Two independent journalists, separated in space and time by a over a third of our planet’s circumference, spotted a re-emergence of the same theme being spewed by the MSM. They both remembered it’s previous emergence lead to a horrendous crime which was based on bullshit.
Here it comes again, they inform us.
Permission
The reason this article can re-use the graphic from Johnstone's article and not use a phrase which annoys the hell of out me "with permission ..." is not because of some communication. No phone call, email, twitter private message etc.. Not required. Caitlin chose to place no restrictions at all on her publications, years ago. Go nuts, she says!
I offer her my thanks. I've failed to yet develop quite that level of gifting.

Culture
The Love Cats - The Cure
This song is re-offered for a collection of reasons, not least the positioning of the bass and drums (the rhythm section) in the mix but also for its use of brass. A previous publication promoted two trumpet concertos. Gimme bass, drums and brass!
