This page serves as a complete reference list for the existing 4 parts of this newsletter’s coverage of the persecution of David McBride for revealing government secrets. McBride’s defense knew some secrets which were too sensitive to “national security” to be allowed to be used in court to support his defense. So, ruled ACT Supreme Court Justice Mossop.

Supporting Improvments in Whistleblower Protection
I mention the Australian Human Rights Legal Center in the audio, and a name. I was referening to Kieran Pendler who is a Senior Lawyer with the HRLC, one of 28 staff listed on their Our People page. I am not certain that Mr Pendler is the HRLC’s primary lawyer who has been following McBride’s case. The HRLC has been issuing resources (quasi-press releases and reports) on the case for years.
They have announced their Whistleblower Project, and a report “The Cost of Courage: Fixing Australia’s Whistleblower Protections”. There are other reports on their work in whistleblower protection.
Should you be interested in supporting their work, I imagine that they would welcome this.
To Prosecute or Not to Prosecute
