The collapse of NATO builds

Stoltenberg to the Rescue
The clear, reliable Dave DeCamp from Antiwar informs us, using sources from POLITICO, the Financial Times and Bloomberg, that the powers behind the Western block are coercing the block's political leadership to establish a $100 billion very term specific, five-year fund to ensure ongoing weapons purchases for Ukraine. The group which currently coordinates weapons supplies from the block to its proxy, Ukraine, is the US led Ukraine Defense Contact Group. The other component of the plan is to shift control of this group to NATO. The end result is a NATO controlled armaments purchasing group controlled, not by the US but NATO, and armed with a slush fund of $100 billion.
Outgoing NATO Secretary Stoltenberg used clear enough language in promoting the motive for the switcheroo. The editor at FT translated Stoltenberg's "to shield the mechanism against the winds of political change" into “Trump-proofing”.
Stating the Obvious
The proposal confirms two already obvious truths.
Firstly, the war between Ukraine and Russia is a NATO war against Russia. Note that all of NATO's wars are proxy wars. NATO doesn't fight on the territory of its member states. And, no, neither Yugoslavia nor any of its successor states were members of NATO in 1999 when NATO launched its proxy war there.
Secondly, the current NATO war is too important for the groups who wish for it to continue for it to be left in the hands of democracy.
From this, the natural logical conclusion is that NATO has no interest in democracy at all. Considering that democracy is the only brand of political organization its public statements advocate one can assume that the organisation is apolitical, and only interested in profit making from the human suffering of war. Apologies for boring you, dear reader, by stating the obvious. When events like this occur, one feels compelled to put them into writing.
This move could well be NATO's writing on the wall. The military organisation is sustained by political participation. Its raison d'être disappeared with the disbanding of the Warsaw Pact on 1991-02-25. Since, the tax-payer funded, arms manufacturing industries behind NATO have been progressively profiting from its expansion through the European nations of the former Soviet military block right up to Russia's borders. In so doing it has created provocations for Russia which are even more threatening that the placement of the Jupiter missiles in Turkey which sparked the 1962 Cuban missile crisis. The US missile silos, which can be converted from anti-missile defense into an Intermediate range Nuclear Force with the use of CD-ROMs, are in NATO member states Poland and Romania.
Hiding a Nazi Powered Threatened Genocide
The provocation which forced Russia's hand into coming to the direct aid of the peoples of Donbas was a threatened genocide against them. This ploy by the US controlled Zelensky regime in Ukraine was against a publicly stated specific sensitivity felt by Russia Federation President Putin towards the Russian expatriate community left residing in the newly independent nations created by the dissolution of the USSR. The threatened genocide against these culturally and ethnically Russian citizens of eastern Ukraine was being made by a Ukraine military which had been converted into a NATO force since the 2014 US led coup. While the arms manufacturers and other contractor were profiting from the integration of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) into the NATO system, Nazi paramilitary units from the western Ukrainian region, Galicia, centered on Lvov, were being integrated into the AFU.
It was these Ukrainian Nazi units which were going to lead the attack into Donbas after the 20-fold increase in shelling which began on 2022-02-16 had "prepared the battlespace".
This is the view of NATO from the ground in Moscow; multiple "Cuban missile crisis" level nuclear provocations, advancing to Russia's borders contrary to promises made which allowed for German reunification, and launching Nazi led potentially genocidal attacks against Russia's cousins, aunts and grandfathers in the neighbour state of Ukraine.
Europe Splits at the Seams
This 'Trump-proofing' switcheroo of the political control of the "Contact Group" from the US to NATO with the creation of an arms slushfund contains political risk. Land-locked eastern European nations like Hungary and Slovakia which border Russia and require Russian energy supply are protesting against this political mousetrap. The citizens of newly NATO-ized Sweden and Finland may finally understand the loss of foreign policy control which is consequent to NATO membership. Germany recently discovered that its Luftwaffe leadership had been planning attacks on Russia using weapons which would require German technicians in Ukraine. Germany is being de-industrialized due to the US destruction of the Nordstream pipelines while its people are being impoverished and its political leadership are selling weapons to a genocidal Israel. French President Macron's idiotic sabre rattling of sending a few Foreign Legion troops to hide out in the rear in Ukraine may well actually be a quixotic response the rejection of French colonialism by the newly united Sahel block of Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso and Chad. In running his French imperial banner up the mast Macron canvased for support in the former Soviet Baltic states and Poland. Public opinion in southern and western Europe in Italy and Spain on supporting a losing war in Ukraine has swung decidedly against.
In Ukraine, a poll by Ukraine's Institute of Social and Political Psychology published on April 1 provided answers to the question "those who avoid mobilization can be understood - no one wants to die." 53.9% agreed, and 29% said they could not answer, with only 17% in disagreement. (The poll was based on 2000 face-to-face interviews in Ukraine from March 1st to March 15th, 2024).
The surveyed population is without the millions who migrated out of Ukraine to avoid the war. Ukraine's conscription is going so poorly that their President has just signed into law a bill lowering the age of conscription.
Desperate Murderous Corruption
This is the war that NATO is trying to ensure the arms purchases for by 'Trump-proofing' the slushfund equiped weapons allocation group. Beyond the disrespect for democracy in an alliance of democracies, this is plain corruption. The grass roots support for this idiotic, murderous, lost war is evaporating in Europe. The little yellow and blue flags have disappeared from the X/Twitterati's tag lines. Yet still these reality disconnected power-players are pumping precious public funds into death and destruction.
We can thank Eisenhower in his farewell address for the phrase 'military industrial congressional' complex, now evolved into MICIMATT. A world war and a quarter century earlier old Gimlet Eye, the then highest decorated US Marine Major General Smedley Darlington Butler, had been forced to reckon with the same truth. To inform his fellow citizens he repeatedly gave the same speech from the text of his published pamphlet:
