Europe: Vote No to War
Do not accept that Europe needs to continue to fight the war in Ukraine on behalf of the US. The best thing for Ukraine and Europe is a settlement.

The citizens of Germany and their parents and grandparents are to be thanked for the section of their constitution which prevents Germany from being involved in aggressive foreign wars. This is the rock upon which the current NATO drive to further the war against Russia will break.
NATO is at war with Russia, and has been slowly but surely since just after the 2014 coup in Ukraine. It began as a civil war which lasted 8 years until Russia came to the defense of the Russian speaking and ethnic Russian people of southern and eastern Ukraine which resisted the unelected government which began the civil war against them. At the outset of this "anti-terrorism operation" more than a third of the Ukrainian territorial defense units, who were formed from local people, changed sides and joined the Donbas resistance.
Since Russia's Special Military Operation (SMO), every time Ukraine and its neo-Nazi aligned military uses advanced weaponry which was supplied to them by NATO, it has used surveillance intelligence provided to Ukraine by the US, and NATO more generally. Ukraine could not have fought the civil war or the later international war without NATO. The US and UK undermined the peace talks which could have ended the war 5 weeks after the SMO. Angela Merkel and François Hollande on behalf of NATO undermined the UN Security Council Minsk II Accords which could have solved the civil war which lead to the SMO.
How many military satellites does Ukraine control? NATO advanced weapons systems are not toy guns, but extremely dangerous. Thus, one does not let them be used by persons who do not know how to use them. All of their operations manuals are classified and written in the language of the nation which produced them. How many Ukrainians were left in Ukraine after the exodus at the beginning of the SMO who were militarily trained and spoke English, or French, or German? These weapons have been operated, predominantly, by citizens of NATO member states whether they were on official placement in Ukraine or not.
The war is between NATO and Russia, and always has been.
The US is running this war because its leadership are short sighted or ideologically blinded. European NATO member states' leadership are going along with this because they are war mongers too or cowards or both. It is easier to cow-tow to the US Big Brother than stand against it. Unelected EU commissioners, particularly those like von der Leyen and Borrel are especially guilty of this blind obsequiousness.
NATO Secretary General Stotlenberg's call for member states to remove political restrictions on weapons provided to Ukraine being used to attack "Russia proper" is a simple ploy. The US wants Europe to continue its war versus Russia while it focusses on a national election and then turns towards ginning up the war with China which their idiotic, avaricious elite want. Legislation has been proposed in the US to force whoever wins their election to continue to fund the war in Ukraine, removing democratic control over it.
If European nations bends to the will of the US to continue this war with Russia, it will further beggar Europe. European economies are already suffering from the loss of cheap energy from Russia following the US (and Norwegian) destruction of the Nord Stream II pipelines. As this war continues, and especially if it escalates, even more money will be spent on war providing even less relief for the European citizenry in the worsening economic conditions.
To quote Eugene Debs, a US anti-war activist from WWI:
Wars throughout history have been waged for conquest and plunder…. that is war in a nutshell. The master class has always declared the wars; the subject class has always fought the battles. The master class has had all to gain and nothing to lose, while the subject class has had nothing to gain and all to lose—especially their lives.
Nothing has changed.
Note that this European war against Russia will fail, and fail utterly. The only successful land attack on Russia was by the Mongols in the 13th century. Today, the Russian Federation has the best military technology and the best trained army in the world. Their economy survived all of the 13+ EU sanctions packages, and those from the US. Europe's economies are failing. Claims that Russia is afraid of another draft are hogwash. Russia has before and will again fight for itself, and it rightly believes this war is existential. It is not existential for greater Europe.
If you choose to support this war against Russia, you are not "saving Ukraine", you are being used as a geopolitical pawn by the failing hegemonic US and by immoral war profiteers. Ukraine has already lost. It was the last pawn.
European Parliament elections run from June 6 to June 9. They are the simplest way for this folly to be ended. Vote for any candidate who stands against war. Should Europe be sucked further into this war, as NATO leadership is declaring it wishes, any reason you may have had to not vote for the anti-war candidate will prove irrelevant. To put this another way, you can save yourself having to march in the streets with tens of thousands of others to stop the war by choosing wisely at the upcoming elections.
Neither the US, nor the UK will stop. They want this war and they want you, Europe, to fight it for them.
Say No to War. Save your children fighting in one. Save your nation from being beggared by war profiteers.
Vote No to War.

Stoltenberg is a tool, who Sy Hersh revealed in the Nordstrom story that he was a long-term "asset" of the US spooks. Basically he is not a European, but a sock puppet who says what they US tell him to say.
And what the US wants is for European nations to burn all their money on weapons sold by US weapons manufacturers, and throw the bodies of their children in the meat grinder on behalf of the US, and to be the sacrificial battle ground (Russian missiles very likely to hit Stockholm, Oslo, Warsaw or Berlin - Chicago and Wash DC, less likely).
There is nothing in this for Europe except self-destruction and vassaldom. It speaks volumes that there is no coherent pan-European mainstream political opposition to this suicidal march to war.
