“Articles”
Now Protest Is a Moral Duty, Craig Murray
The former UK Diplomat who exposed the USA's black site operations (torture and murder) in Uzbekistan some years ago, a friend of Assange and Wikileaks, a continuous advocate for the rule of law and the transparency thereof (for which he was imprisoned in his native Scotland over the fixed political assassination of Alex Salmond) and a never-ending advocate for Scottish independence, alerts us to further encroachments on the right to protest in the UK. In this, his second article on an ongoing protest outside a factory in the midlands county of Leicestershire which manufactures components for Israeli weapons, he describes the mis-use of the 1986 (read Thatcher) "Public Order Act".
The two articles (the first is here) are original reporting on the protests delivered with Mr. Murray's eminently readable style and piercing wit. They also cover a worrying use of the police in the UK to limit the essential right of public protest, a worrying development to put it mildly.
Sammy Goes to School, Chris Hedges
As another furtherance of the recent "peace" article, I highlight the fantastic work that teachers like Chris Hedges are doing through the Rutgers University program to provide tertiary education to inmates trapped in the for-profit USA Prison-Industrial-Complex. He reminds us of this important work by offering a beautifully written article on the suffering and redemption of Sammy.

B. from MoonOfAlabama tracks the dramatic change in western reporting on the Nazi problem in Ukraine, focusing particularly on the the Azov Regiment, now Battalion. In recent reports on the current fighting in Bakhmut/Artyomovsk even the name Azov is scrubbed!
Wong’s War – Australian Soldiers Are Losing In Ukraine and Getting Killed in Secret, John Helmer
Helmer reports on the oft ignored role of Australia aiding the Ukrainian side in the conflict, and the particular difficulty which current Australian Foreign Minister, Penny Wong, is having not acknowledging the nation's role.
Ambush of Russian Special Air Group Likely to Spawn Major Escalation in Russia’s War with Ukraine and NATO, Larry Johnson
Larry Johnson has identified a detailed write-up on the recent downing of multiple aircraft in the Russian oblast of Bryansk which borders Ukraine. It turns out that a "Special Air Group" was taken from the skies by Ukraine. Johnson reasonably posits that this combined with Ukraine causing civilian casualties (reportedly including 6 children) in Lugansk as they now employ the UK "Storm Shadow" missiles is likely to result in yet another escalation.
Russia Ukraine: Massive Russian Offensive To END The War? Colonel Douglas Macgregor, Godfrey Bloom interviews Col. Macgregor

Regime Change Watch, b. (MoonOfAlabama)
B. places his focus on the presidential elections which are occurring today (Sunday 2023-05-14) in both Turkey and Thailand. Polls vary in both cases, though the incumbent seems to have an advantage. Both have been insufficiently deferential to USA interests recently. B. warns us to keep an eye out for upcoming "colour revolutions" should the incumbents return to power.
With 99% of votes counted the young and youth lead Move Forward Party (MFP) have achieved resounding success in the elections, though due to rules established to entrench the military’s control on power need to negotiate with one or more minor parties to form a government. One can expect this, and thus no “colour revolutions” will be required.
Thailand election results: Opposition trounces military parties, Zaheena Rasheed and Sawitree Wongketjai, Al Jazeera, 2023-05-14
See a video by Brian Berletic (aka The New Atlas) below in Sources for his comments (he lives in Thailand).
In Turkiye the presidential election is very close. A run-off election seems likely as neither candidate will achieve a 50% tally of votes. We shall see.
US ‘seizes’ over a dozen web domains related to Lebanese resistance group Hezbollah, Peoples Dispatch
Peoples Dispatch inform us that the USA regime is back to seizing Internet Domain names in its promotion of free speech and journalism. The domains have been seized under various statues which originated in the War of Terrorism era and target Hezbollah, a constant thorn in Israel's side, and the most significant political party in Lebanon.
5/11/23 Mutaqee Akbar on the Uhuru Movement, Who They Are and What They’re Charged With, Scott Horton interviews lawyer Mutaqee Akbar representing the Uhuru Movement
Download audio.
The Uhuru Movement is a socialist organisation established in 1972 which promotes African internationalism. The recent SWAT raid (the officers were dress in cammo and carrying long barreled weapons) to execute a search warrant at 3 premises in St. Petersburg, Florida, resulted in 4 members of the group being charged with offenses under some statute that no bloody article I could find would name (its probably the Foreign Agent Registration Act). The Federal prosecutor had the gall to say that the individuals were "weaponizing the first amendment". The whole thing seems to be some extension of RussiaGoat (as I call it) and drumming up paranoia which insinuates that citizens are idiots and can't think for themselves. Of course, some authorities believe this, which is why they run counter-mis-information operations in their war for your mind. Its all just the latest crazy in the land of the free.
Horton enjoys the general panic described by the MSM and speaks with the lawyer defending the accused to get closer to the bottom of this charade.

From the blues revival in the ‘50s and ‘60s here are the ever young Sonny Terry and Brownie McGee:
Walk On, Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee (aparently from “Everyman’s Blues”, but the web seems to have no idea)
Turn your volume down a bit, the recording is a little too high
