Mystery Solved: US DoD Killed Soldiers
Tower 22 possessed no local mechanism to detect or defend against a drone attack
Published: 2024-02-11
This report concludes an earlier consideration of how it could be that 3 US soldiers were killed at a base in Jordan close to the borders with Iraq and Syria, and in support of the US' illegal base at al Tanf.
Scenario D: Reality
The US Dept. of Defence (DoD) is either so short of funds that they could not afford to install any on site defence mechanism for one of the most common forms of attack occurring in current international conflicts or they don't care about the lives of their staff.
Not only was no on site defence mechanism installed, the local staff had no way of knowing if a drone attack was imminent from local systems. At Tower 22 in Jordan the "radar system called TPS-75 … was broken 80 percent of the time I was there", observed an Air Force airman who served at Tower 22 last year. That radar system was not even able to detect a low flying drone. Such was the conclusion of the US DoD's team which assessed how the attack succeeded. That the system was not able to detect the attack was not because it was inoperational, it never could have if the drone flew low on attack.
During the first two press conferences at which the DoD presented the news of the attack and the deaths of the 3 soldiers, their spokespeople failed to mention that there was no local defence mechanism. Instead, it was stated that the DoD was investigating the attack. The DoD lied by omission to its press secretaries to have them lie by omission to the US citizenry.
No investigation was required, merely asking the question which defence mechanism was penetrated? There was none.
Calls have yet to reach the news of suggestions that the department should be renamed to the expensive, unsustainable Department of No Defence. This is likely because those media have covered up the brazen behaviour in their reporting. The title of the Washington Post 'exclusive' which provided the brain dead simple conclusion that with no defence the soldiers were doomed was 'Drone that killed U.S. troops in Jordan likely went undetected' instead of the simpler 'Troops Died Due to No Defence' or perhaps the clearer 'US DoD Kills Staff'.
The 'exclusive' report remains exclusive 5 days later. Almost no other old media publisher has followed up and published articles highlighting the evil inherent in the DoD's choice to house troops at Tower 22. The base had no defence in a region where they are beset on many sides by angry, armed groups supported by local parliaments calling for these US troops to leave.
The US media are complicit in the killing of the troops, caused by the US DoD's wreckless positioning of these troops, because they have deliberately not held the DoD to account. The reason for this state of affairs, colloquially known as 'access journalism', is because that media will not bite the hand that feeds it.
This is likely one of the reasons why Ray McGovern stresses the middle M in MICIMATT, Media. They fail to report on the underhanded tactics involved in the extortion of US tax payer's revenues to fuel the arms industry. They have failed to inform their audience as to why their fellow citizens are dying at the hands of the psychopaths behind the scheme, be they political, military or corporate.
