Tanks and Flowers
A partially destroyed T-72 tank was placed outside of the Russian Embassy in Berlin on the anniversary of the Russian Special Military Operation into the then 8 year long civil war in Donbas. The media stunt by persons in support of Ukraine was hijacked by local German peace activists who covered the wrecked tank in flowers, candles and peace doves.
Other less peace minded individuals attacked the flowers.
Meanwhile a peace demonstration in Berlin was attended by 50 000 persons.
During Mike Jones' (iEarlGrey's) first video after his youtube channel was again hammered by Google/Alphabet Inc. the multilingual celebration moved to a short discussion of the "tank" event. Thomas, a German confused by Masha's translation constantly flipping between English and Russian, comments on what the efforts by local German activists have meant to Russia’s people.
It restored hope.
