Thank you to everyone for reading (or listening to) publications at this newsletter.
It is your engagement with these articles and podcasts which sustains them. If you appreciate them, I ask that you share them (or the newsletter itself) with others whom you believe may have interest. The reasons for this request are several.
Some who engage become weary of the often depressing state of international affairs, the primary topic of the newsletter. They either stop engaging and/or revoke being notified by email, or stop "following". This is entirely understandable and results in a reduction of interest.
The Substack site has recently promoted serveral articles from this newsletter, supposedly to increase engagement with Substack itself. This has resulted in those publications having a wildly higher readership, but has resulted in very little increase in interest. Sticking a YesXorNo article on the front page of Substack (or whatever they did) has had only a negligible efffect.
You, dear reader, are somewhat rare. I presume that you tolerate poorly written prose, which occurs too frequently, because you are interested in the perspectives on current affairs which are offered, with sources, in these publications. The best way to maintain the continuance of this work is to maintain engagement in it, and there are no better persons to accomplish this than you.
A Recap on Alerts
There are three mechanisms by which one can learn of new publications at this newsletter, each with its own cost/benefit analysis. More details on this is available at the About page.
1. Visit the "Archive" page of the newsletter when you feel like it and see what has changed. This mechanism has no 'notification' but does not subject you to any form of surveillance, especially if you use an anonymizing browser like 'Tor' (or more correctly, the Tor BrowserBundle).

2. Use RSS. Supply the RSS feed of the newsletter to your RSS client and allow it to poll the site for changes.

3. Sign up at Substack to create an account by providing it an email address to which notifications and whatever else Substack wishes to send at you will be delivered. Once that is done, you could either "Follow" to have "notifications" made at the front page which Substack serves you. Or you could "subscribe" for additional email spam.
Continuation
I care not which method interested persons use. Your author, podcaster and editor is satisfied in seeing the engagement which means that the community is interested in the analysis, comment and opinion being offered.
One important note: always read an article on the site rather than in an email. I admit to being a poor proof-reader, often identifying errors soon after publication. These post-publication improvements cannot affect already sent emails.
I thank you again for your interest and ask you again to support this work by sustaining interest in its publications.

Stevie Ray Vaughan - Little Wing, American Blues Scene, youtube, (no publication date). This is the best cover of Little Wing of all time, and its damn hard to beat Hendrix at his own game.

I do share where I can. Unfortunately, I'm of a certain age whereby the long-standing world view of most of my friends and acquaintances is firmly set. They wouldn't even know the names of alternative platforms such as Substack or Odyssey. Despite being deeply disturbed by Israel's evil designs and deliberate killing of civilians, my friends are reluctant to talk about it as though subconsciously fearful of being tarred with the anti-semitism label. The awake youth is the only hope.
