US Republican Party Sweep into Power under Donald Trump
Populism and Surveillance Caplitalists raise a second Presidency for Donald Trump and a first Vice Presidency for Vance

Outcomes
Not only has the Republican Party under Donald Trump's leadership won the US Presidency but also both houses of Congress. The existing margin of approximately 5 of the 139 million votes counted shows that Trump received 7.46% more than Harris' total which sinks any attempt to delegitimize the election result. This denies the media influencers an opportunity to waste tonnes of paper and hours of boring cable news on irrelevant intrigue.
With the control of Congress the Republican Party will have total control of appointments for the executive component of the administration. It will be a brave GOP representative who votes against the choices of Mr. Trump and his close circle. The contest for those appointments is now well under way. Some positions to watch for include National Security Advisor, Director of National Intelligence, and the Secretary and Deputy Secretaries of State and Defence. Will Kurt Campbell retain his position as Deputy Sec. of State? And what for Donald Lew who orchestrated the coups on India's east and west in Bangladesh and Pakistan?
One can see varying degrees of disdain for the Republican victory being expressed in flagship, legacy opinion creators in the US media.
The New York Times warns of dark uncertainty:
The Washington Post declares that Trump defeated Harris, rather than having won.
In financial opinion setters, The Economist also warns of uncertainty.
But, the Financial Times noted the current market response:
and the Wall St. Journal declared that Mr. Trump "secured [a] comeback win with strong support among working class and in rural America":
Behind Mr. Trump and his future Vice President Vance is a US power block which is just declaring its desire for political influence — the tech billionaires. Vance was selected and promoted by Peter Thiel whose company Palantir is the epitome of surveillance capitalism. SpaceX and X/Twitter owner Elon Musk supported Trump. They join existing members of the controlling oligarchy from the tech background like Jeff Bezos, owner of The Washington Post, and Amazon, which contracts computing services to the US intelligence apparatus.
The Field
The geostrategic position to face the still to be determined incoming US administration is independent of which party won the vote. The actions taken by the administration to respond to that situation will be largely chosen by the donors. How this new element of the US oligarchy chooses to respond will be interesting to see.
There is one overarching theme and structure to which the US needs to respond, the changing structure of international trade that is being implemented by China and other members of the BRICS and SCO groups. That changing structure of trade is occurring in both currency usage and transport routes.
The BRICS Clear facility is an overt threat to the dominance of the US dollar by supporting trade in BRICS’ national currencies, rather than the dollar. It is part of an escape route from unilateral US economic warfare. The use of either of China’s or Russia's non-SWIFT financial messaging systems reduces the detail of US knowledge of trade. The extensive trade transport networks being constructed within the giant Asian continent by China and the SCO cannot be molested by naval power or other military assets, as we shall see.
The International North-South Trade Corridor connects India via Iran and the Caspian Sea to Russia and onwards to the Black and Baltic Seas. The Russian construction of a fleet of nuclear powered ice breakers is making the centuries dreamed of northern sea route between Europe east Asia a reality. These new routes will dramatically reduce trade volumes through the Suez canal, create redundancy and cost efficiency in trade between east and west Asia (otherwise known as Europe). The stabilization of government in Afghanistan and its surrounding central Asian states is facilitating the implementation of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. China is building high-speed rail links in southeast Asia.
A Lying Bureaucracy
In his interview with Nima Alkhorshid on Dialogue Works (see Sources) Col. Wilkerson expressed a series of generally unspoken understandings. One was that another minor revolt is occurring in the bowels of the CIA because analysts there know the state of affairs in the war in Ukraine — how perilous the US proxy's position is. This truth is being hidden from US citizens by its media, but also from the cabinet via the well established process of telling them what they want to hear by career advancing elements of the deepstate.
The post 9/11 ‘situation normal’ continues.
A New Mil-Tech Reality
Of greater interest was Wilkerson declaring that the era of US/NATO military domination is over.
It does not possess the leading weapons technologies anymore. While this could be seen on the fields of Ukraine, it was brought into stark focus after Israel’s attack on Iran on October 26th. Despite Israel lauding claims of defeating and destroying Iranian capabilities, no evidence of this has been produced. Some minor damage was achieved with the launch of drones from within Iran. The 56 or more air launched ballistic missiles fired at max distance from Iraqi airspace caused minor damage to a few missile defence facilities. 4 Iranian soldiers were killed.
If Israel had so damaged Iran's defenses, as it claimed, then by now they would surely have exploited that weakness. They have not. Their missiles were largely shot down. Yes, it is believed that the Pentagon had warned Israel to limit its illegal violence, especially avoiding certain targets. But, the current Israeli leadership don’t seem sufficiently rational that, if there was a gaping hole in Iran's defenses, they could resist the temptation of a devastating attack. Obviuosly, that result is unachievable.
As Wilkerson described, what we have witnessed is a change in both technology advantage and the character of preferred weaponry. In the age of hypersonic missiles, a lumbering aircraft carrier is a liability. Even its aircraft are not very useful against the types of air defense systems which Russia and Iran have developed. Manned air power has been defeated by unmanned air power (missiles, rockets and drones) and manned air defence all augmented by "ISR" (intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance).
The US military is well aware that the opponents which its political leadership is setting it against are not only capable, but intelligent and honorable (in the military sense). A point which can be overlooked is that in the event of dangerous political leadership, the military and its sense of honor and the rules of war are important checks on extreme abuse of power. For this reason, having cordial contact between the world's powerful militaries is vital. The laws of war are what sets a military apart from armed thugs. The genocide in Palestine conducted by men and women wearing the uniforms of Israel’s military is a horrific example of that loss of honor, that decent into base violence.
Recent contacts between Russian and US leaders of their militaries have demonstrated how important these contacts are. No matter what silly narratives Western media run about North Koreans fighting for Russia, the US military understand with whom they are dealing.
The Israeli military are outliers in this, but even they have to maintain concern for their force integrity. The immoral and illegal actions, including the genocide which they are conducting, will defeat their core, psychologically.
Wars Ongoing
The year ahead seems very likely to involve the continuation of both the war in Ukraine and the wars which Israel is creating around it.
Russia's strategy of a war of attrition in Ukraine has proven itself. Ukraine's invasion of Kursk, very likely at the suggestion and facilitation of MI-6 and the CIA, has provided even more reason for Russia to continue its re-acquisition of Novorossiya. Russia's political leadership has all the support it needs from its populace. Russia's military leadership will not accept a settlement which they themselves cannot enforce. This Russian military demand comes from repeated betrayal by the West’s political leadership. The West’s signature on paper is meaningless.
Ukraine and its Western military intelligence backers tried to capture the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant as a form of nuclear blackmail or to at least capture some territory as a bargaining chip. There was no strategy in this. The result will not be that bargaining chip or blackmail, but what remains of Ukraine will become a buffer zone for Russia.
A strategy of attrition requires a powerful state behind it. In southwest Asia, that state is Iran, and attrition is the strategy at play against the vile Zionists. Until Palestinian sovereignty with political rights and a security arrangement is achieved Israel will have no peace. Scott Ritter concluded that the Hamas attack on Israel of October 7, 2023, was a meticulously planned and executed episode of armed resistance to occupation. It defeated elements of the occupier's military to achieve its objective, the capture of hostages. In turn, the attack released the evil which had been carefully restrained and concealed in Israel. That genie cannot be put back in the bottle. The world knows.
Palestine has now the assistance of not only Iran, but China which wishes to secure a peace in southwest Asia for the purposes of energy supply and to integrate parts of the region into its trade infrastructure.
Neither the US nor Israel nor either or both in combination with NATO can defeat Russia or Iran without a nuclear war. The US military knows this. The same is true for China.
The world can thank Russia for exposing the weakness of the US Military Industrial Complex's pathetic production capacity. When Russia engaged NATO in Ukraine, initially to save the people of Donbas from an Ukrainian neo-Nazi pogrom, NATO cheaply disposed of its old armaments by donating them to Ukraine to have them destroyed on the Ukrainian steppe. Once that was done, real NATO weaponry had to be supplied. Russia destroyed those too. There are no more 'excess' Patriot missile systems, or their missiles, or 155mm artillery shells. NATO's armories are bare. Russia continues to outproduce NATO.
This eventuality was acknowledged a year into the conflict by NATO's Supreme Allied Commander Europe, US Army Gen. Christopher Cavoli. In February 2023 he stated:
The scale of this war is out of proportion with all of our recent thinking, …
… the Russians have expended on average well over 20,000 artillery rounds per day.
He knew that NATO could not maintain supply on this scale. The world has learned that Russia can.
Choices
So lies the geostrategic field onto which the US Republican Party and upcoming President Trump will stride.
The old media gatekeepers and the Democratic Party have been defeated. Saint Obama is king-maker no more. 'Social media' mediated populism and its owners are the power behind Trump.
If Trump and the GOP play their cards well, upcoming Vice President Vance, backed by the surveillance capitalists, will succeed the second Trump administration. There are 3 years of the future to traverse between now and when that electoral campaign will begin.
The stage is set for Donald Trump to set his mark on history. His challenge will be to engage the growing BRICS alliance with its desire for freedom of trade and from economic coersion. Will Trump and the GOP attempt rebuild the United States of America with BRICS or against it?
In partnership, many challenges facing our only home could be managed and improved. Perhaps we can make peace and infrastructure, rather than death and destruction.
