Great piece! If you want to know why Jelzin had to resign and how Putin came in and the US involvement read Martin Armstrong. armstrongeconomics.com

Thank you for the compliment, and thank you even more for the link. I always wanted to know more about that.

"Rant" got my attention because I had before tried to follow the complete "rant" and found it to be anything but that, that being more like what I would expect CNN to say and leave it at that as they got on with Jan6 ...

But I did poke on your spiel here and found that to be anything but also ... a wonderful, and real, history. Thank You!

Now I will get back to the whole speech ... btw, Putin "knows" and is one of a very few that will mention it, but he is aware of the Evil being foisted on the world by the "forces of dark", the "Western" Globalists, and their insidious Communistic plotting. (one of our major (in being human) politicians (Tulsi Ghabard) just lately left the Democratic party and in her public speech about that also pinpointed the Globalists and their plotting.)

"Trust but verify", as Ray McGovern would say. My summary of the Crimean War is horrific. So, check out that war a little more, if you're interested. I need to.

What caused it? Who won, who lost, what territory changed hands, what other events were going on at the time? etc.

History is fascinating.

Thanks. I will try and study more about the mentioned history. I am 82, so have lived a bit through a few of the years that have made a difference in our history and in being always a seeker and respecter of truth I have never fallen for government propaganda. It makes me very sad to discover so much about world history that is just a pack of lies and what our "Legacy Media" is doing right now.

BTW, I just watched your Dec 2 tape offering and though I am unfamiliar with the movie with Kirk Douglas, (I am sure I have seen it long ago) the song by the young lady and the change in the grizzled soldiers brought a tear to my eyes ...

Mr Kays,

Firstly, if you are 82 years old I bow to your experience and feel most gratified that you choose to spend some of your time reading or listening to my rambles. I am humbled.

I would like to say that I have never been subject to believing government propaganda, but that would be a lie. It took me at least 35 years to become aware of the vast deluge of rubbish to which we subject ourselves by listening to or reading the dominant players in "western media".

I am completely lost as to what you mean by your last comment. If, however, my little cultural offerings have tugged at your heartstrings, please offer all thanks in the direction of the artists. I am merely republishing their work. I have no "favourites" but am very partial to the cover of Universal Soldier by First-Aid Kit. [https://yesxorno.substack.com/p/knocking-on-kherson-while-kicking]. I intend to feature the complete album "Dark Side of the Moon" when I pen an article that echoes its core. I could never write an article which justifies its inclusion.

Stay safe, keep warm and I hope you are receiving the love of your community and children and perhaps grandchildren should you have any.

Nicely done, thanks.

You were vague on the reason Yeltsin chose Putin and why the Us allowed it.

Martin Armstrong has done lots of work here, Yeltsin was blackmailed.

Details deleted

The amusing part of it all is that the US interference in Russian politics was the reason behind Yeltsin choosing Putin and now the US is reaping what it sowed. Karma is a bitch!

Humphrey,

offlevel below had mentioned Martin Armstrong. Thank you so much for the detailed summary. I intend to look into this. I'm interested in the deeper story; dates, names, positions, relations etc.. Dont provide details. I know where to go. I look forward to digging.

Karma is a bitch, indeed. What a cock-up that was.

Thank you for the compliment. I quite enjoyed the rant and will do another when a topic which I know sufficiently well turns up. I enjoyed the "spur of the moment" part of it. I was literally hunting for articles on the speech and finding none. So, I thought "screw it" I'll just record something. It sorta grew a bit further than I'd intended. But, it seems to have been well received.
